Nach diesem Pflichtenheft wurde diese Applikation dann entwickelt, bis sie so funktionierte, wie in diesem Pflichtenheft beschrieben. Das konnte dann schon mal Monate bis Jahre dauern - und erst danach wurde der Betrieb dieser Software geplant und umgesetzt. Nicht sehr flexibel.  Heute befinden wir uns in einer agilen Welt: Kleine, selbständige Entwicklerteams entwickeln ein minimal funktionsfähiges Produkt und fügen diesem in kurzen Zyklen neue Features hinzu. Diese Features werden dann in Betrieb genommen, wenn sie fertig sind: Nach zwei Wochen, zwei Tagen oder auch kontinuierlich.  Systemadministratoren - Applikationsmanagement, Betrieb, System Engineering - müssen sich diesen geänderten Umständen anpassen, wenn sie \"überleben\" wollen. Sie müssen Strategien entwickeln, um diese immer kürzer werdenden Entwicklungszykeln zu unterstützen.  Die einfachste Lösung ist es, ebenfalls agil zu agieren. Und natürlich die Kommunikation zwischen Entwicklern und Administratoren zu verbessern.  Kanban oder Scrum, eigenes Storytellung, Devops und Änderung der Organisation - dieser Vortrag zeigt Beispielhaft, was Administratoren und Management machen können, um diesem Ziel näher zu kommen. Erfolgsstories werden genauso erwähnt wie Fallstricke. \n\nÜber den Autor Ralph Angenendt:  Ralph Angenendt has been working with the Linux operating system since 1996, since 1998 in a professional surrounding. The new open source Yum Repo Server uses a GridFS/MongoDB cluster to achieve scalability, reliability and frequent updates for Yum repositories.  Do you still use rsync jobs and createrepo? In frequently updated Yum repositories createrepo limits the update rate because it stores metadata on disk without reusing it efficiently. To break that limitation the Yum Repo Server queries pre-processed RPM-headers in MongoDB and generates repository metadata in memory.  The talk will give insights about how we implemented this new way of thinking software repositories and it shows how to migrate seamlessly from rsync/createrepo to GridFS/MongoDB. During high school I fell in love with Informatics to solve my math homework and I sold my first commercial application: a vocabulary trainer for french. A long-during relationship between software and me was born.  To study cognitive science and mathematics I moved to Osnabrück and I had a great interdiciplinary time there. Back in Berlin I started working for BeagleSoft and I learned a lot about enterprise and high performance web applications for several customers all over Germany. In early 2011 I started as a software architect at Immobilienscout24, one of the biggest German websites. Here I mainly work on introducing continuous delivery and DevOps for the core platform.  At IS24 I developed and co-authored several open source projects like Yum Repo Server, Nexus Yum Plugin, YADT and Config RPM Maker. For me it's fun to not only use open source software, but also create it myself. Haben Sie schon einmal eine Kleinigkeit ändern wollen? Konnten Sie für “Einwurf kleiner Münzen” diese Änderung machen lassen? Open-Source-Software zeichnet sich unter anderem durch die leichte Anpassbarkeit an die eigenen Bedürfnisse aus. Doch nicht jeder kann oder möchte die Software selbst ändern. Lieber würde man die Autoren oder andere Spezialisten damit beauftragen.  Der Vortrag gibt Einblick in die praktische Arbeit mit dem Sponsoring von Open-Source-Projekten und beantwortet die Frage, wie man mit Hilfe von Sponsoring seine eigenen Probleme schneller und günstiger lösen kann: Nach der Vorstellung typischer Entwicklungsmodelle von Open-Source-Projekten erfahren Besucher, wie sie Kontakte zu Open-Source Projekten knüpfen können und damit jemanden finden, der ihnen weiter hilft.  Weitere Themen sind rechtliche Aspekte wie ein Werksvertrag, Gewährleistung und einfache Abwicklung. Wie können Anforderungen so formuliert werden, dass der Kundennutzen und die Nachhaltigkeit im Vordergrund steht. Was sind gute Abnahmekriterien für den Auftrag. Welche Wirtschaftlichkeitsberechnung und Kosten-Nutzen-Abwägungen sollte man aufstellen. Wie entstehen nachhaltige Lösungen statt ewigen Workarounds. YADT - an Augmented Deployment Tool is a next generation data center deployment and system management tool. It consists of two central components: Firstly, a central management of dependencies between services, systems and software packages, and secondly a deployment based on packages for both software and configuration management. YADT is developed at and used by ImmobilienScout24 as an Open Source project.  The software makes it easy to deploy your software, configuration and operating system updates. It also provides a service-oriented abstraction layer which makes dependencies explicit and comprehensible.  YADT will update packages and restart the services in the correct order within your data center. It understands the traditional dependencies between packages as well as dependencies between services, even over the network. Core areas of interest are open source solutions and web operations.  The ImmobilienScout24 web platform is based on Linux, Apache, Tomcat and open standards. We are currently creating a new deployment and management solution for our data center based on RPM packages. The solution is written in Python and Bash and published at http://yadt-project.org.  Schlomo maintains several successful open source projects and is a regular speaker at various conferences. Schlomo is a strong DevOps and web operations advocate and writes regularly for German IT magazines and his BLOG (http://blog.schlomo.schapiro.org). See the homepage on http://www.schapiro.org/schlomo or the profile on http://go.schapiro.org/schlomo for more information. About the author Ingmar Krusch:  Ingmar Krusch is head of operations (acting) and a teamlead of Sysadmins and Systemdevelopers at germany's leading real estate search portal.  Through his former life as a developer and teamlead of developers, he first got in contact with the agile mindset through Scrum. Ingmar started to implement Scrum at his employer as a dev teamlead and broadened his agile mindset with DevOps and Kanban trough his work in the ops realm, first as a systems architect and now as an ops teamlead.  Currently he is implementing Kanban and promoting the DevOps mindset at his employer while implementing a continuous delivery platform. ImmobilienScout24 uses this to deploy 1000+ VMs completely (including configuration) via RPMs. About the author Marcel Wolf:","original_language":"eng","persons":["Schlomo Schapiro (ImmobilienScout24)","Ingmar Krusch (ImmobilienScout24)","Marcel Wolf (ImmobilienScout24)"],"tags":["linuxtag13","224"],"view_count":37,"promoted":false,"date":"2013-05-23T00:00:00.000+02:00","release_date":"2019-01-27T01:00:00.000+01:00","updated_at":"2025-10-17T12:30:05.819+02:00","length":1390,"duration":1390,"thumb_url":"https://static.media.ccc.de/media/events/linuxtag/2013/224-hd.jpg","poster_url":"https://static.media.ccc.de/media/events/linuxtag/2013/224-hd_preview.jpg","timeline_url":"https://static.media.ccc.de/media/events/linuxtag/2013/224-hd.timeline.jpg","thumbnails_url":"https://static.media.ccc.de/media/events/linuxtag/2013/224-hd.thumbnails.vtt","frontend_link":"https://media.ccc.de/v/linuxtag13-224-data_center_automation_with_yadt","url":"https://api.media.ccc.de/public/events/7738094c-d4ed-50d5-8950-75667523ca7f","conference_title":"Linuxtag 2013","conference_url":"https://api.media.ccc.de/public/conferences/linuxtag13","related":[{"event_id":1586,"event_guid":"import-4943bb5b62764ada53","weight":1},{"event_id":2349,"event_guid":"931dfbdd-5276-41c4-a512-bd30fd775527","weight":1},{"event_id":2959,"event_guid":"83ab70a1-de38-42d3-993e-08024cac1ddg","weight":1},{"event_id":4035,"event_guid":"b0ee83e9-514d-53c0-b32e-0a61a54514ce","weight":1},{"event_id":4666,"event_guid":"dbaa263c-62ed-4565-b184-fd85a7e6fd2c","weight":1},{"event_id":5274,"event_guid":"c38c514b-99f4-4906-a0e5-189df72dbd9e","weight":1},{"event_id":5350,"event_guid":"47b7888b-3379-53e2-b2c8-6b004ae00550","weight":1},{"event_id":5393,"event_guid":"faea7134-21b2-5264-9e02-a8706b63e7fc","weight":1},{"event_id":5403,"event_guid":"1c78884b-36cd-5600-8ee6-df144c004259","weight":1},{"event_id":5407,"event_guid":"682090d6-32cf-52cd-9c58-c49a9c732200","weight":1},{"event_id":5825,"event_guid":"d535dfae-c59a-4a72-9d86-94e3ce66e549","weight":1},{"event_id":6248,"event_guid":"a142251b-81f2-4195-95ba-c0f3818ce884","weight":1},{"event_id":6656,"event_guid":"072e4f06-e39d-5253-910a-1f2e209f12f8","weight":1},{"event_id":6660,"event_guid":"e612fca3-59dd-5fc1-876c-899eff76e21c","weight":1},{"event_id":6666,"event_guid":"b9042683-6c38-56ff-b561-79f65d2d2079","weight":1},{"event_id":6673,"event_guid":"3c2bb090-eb27-51a7-839b-18ca454124c6","weight":1},{"event_id":6675,"event_guid":"1c42bd49-3477-5e45-973a-92ea2b1f6b3d","weight":1},{"event_id":6677,"event_guid":"c2fa2e95-752c-5ead-9e7b-3c171241619e","weight":1},{"event_id":6681,"event_guid":"e80d2512-120b-5ad2-8d10-0e6e1d59c360","weight":1},{"event_id":6684,"event_guid":"84a71aa2-6b94-5061-bbd0-26756287fa42","weight":2},{"event_id":6690,"event_guid":"26a459a0-db73-5621-978b-399fb5e670bf","weight":1},{"event_id":6691,"event_guid":"9c572732-4b50-5eec-aab1-01ac45435785","weight":1},{"event_id":6692,"event_guid":"92fb4404-88f4-5c6e-bd11-ff2c1621fbc7","weight":1},{"event_id":6693,"event_guid":"68eef21a-279b-5ac7-9a22-0d6e43c1d97f","weight":1},{"event_id":6713,"event_guid":"e4b9eb41-0ffd-546a-b56e-4c06eb676334","weight":1},{"event_id":6729,"event_guid":"d9171468-acf9-59f9-a7a7-ca7133bb6355","weight":1},{"event_id":6743,"event_guid":"7a8d8045-fc52-5032-8471-1a2d98a17a38","weight":1},{"event_id":6747,"event_guid":"5748f3e9-c6ed-5669-950b-24b9e215f1e7","weight":1},{"event_id":6756,"event_guid":"456fb60c-5ce7-11e8-be47-1fb2912eb897","weight":1}]}]}
