Die medienarchäologische Analyse geht dabei von der Interface-Technik, welche die Wahrnehmungsschwellen des Users unterläuft, über die Software bis zur Untersuchung der Hardware und der tatsächlichen elektronischen Schaltung. Dieser beinhaltet ein weiteres U880-Prozessorsystem für den Betrieb von CP/M sowie ein bis vier Diskettenlaufwerke. Turing, war als theoretische Grundlage der Informatik nie dazu gedacht, physisch umgesetzt zu werden, dennnoch realisierten Severin Hofmann und David Moises 2004 eine Turingmaschine in der Ausführung einer Modelleisenbahn. Auf einer Fläche von sechs mal fünf Metern wurden 80 Meter Gleis und 50 Weichen verbaut, somit war der \"Großrechner\" in der Lage Kalkulationen bis Drei auszuführen. Durch die beschauliche Rechengeschwindigkeit war es möglich im Detail Zeuge des Rechenvorganges zu werden.
