The mid-20\u003csup\u003eth\u003c/sup\u003e century provides an obvious geochemical 'timestamp': fallout from \u003ca href=\"https://media.ccc.de/v/31c3_-_6121_-_en_-_saal_2_-_201412291715_-_what_ever_happened_to_nuclear_weapons_-_michael_buker\" title=\"Michael Büker\u0026#39;s \u0026#39;What Ever Happened to Nuclear Weapons?\u0026#39; talk at 31c3\"\u003enuclear weapons detonations\u003c/a\u003e. Which other chemicals and timestamps are being considered for marking the Anthropocene's start? How is 'define-by-committee' even working out for \u003ca href=\"http://www.stratigraphy.org/index.php/ics-chart-timescale\" title=\"International Chronostratigraphic Chart AKA Geological Timescale\"\u003egeological epochs\u003c/a\u003e? This talk boils the scientific background of the Anthropocene debate down for
