We are merely beginning to explore its potential as a teaching and learning platform in Academia. \nWikidata has the potential to not only help its users find precise and meaningful data, or explore various topics for learning purposes; \nbut also help educate the general public about how to interpret the data they encounter, recognize knowledge gaps, sharpen the critical thinking and their understanding of how to verify data correctness or completeness. \nThese capacities are especially important in an era where Siri, Alexa and other AI agents use Wikidata and users take their answers at face value, \nand represent some examples of the capacities that fall under \"Data Literacy\" that will be discussed in the session. \nThis panel will focus on featuring various examples of experimenting with Wikidata in educational settings around the world, focusing on different ways of engaging students, \ndiscussing known best \u0026amp; worst practices and brainstorming about new and exciting ways to better incorporate WD into Academia.\nTo achieve this goal, we have assembled a group of Wikidatans who have been experimenting with WD in Educational settings. \nAmong the examples that will be discuss are:\n\nThe first for-credit course in the world to feature Wikidata at Tel Aviv University, Israel (Shani)\nWikidata Labs and Wikidata in journalism school, University of Sao Paulo, Brazil (Joao)\nImplementing data literacy in the curriculum and the example of the \"Witchfinder General\" at the University of Edinburgh (Ewan)\nHow to use wikidata as a tool in STEM at the Habitat School, Ajman,Dubai, United Arab Emirates (Akbar Ali)\nUsing Wikidata to Teach Semantic Modelling to Master's degree level class at the HTW Berlin in Germany (Debora)\nThe panel will include 3 main parts: \n\nIntroduction and meeting the panelists (3 min each = ~ 20 minutes)\nPanel discussion about questions relating issues such as format, challenges and assessment\nQ \u0026amp; A with the audience (10 min)\nIf you are using Wikidata as a teaching or learning tool in an educational setting, or are interested in doing so, this session is for
